German pancake ( also called Dutch Baby) are baked pancakes that is made with eggs, flour, milk, vanilla extract. This is a delicious, easy to make, family-style pancake that gets big and poofy in the oven while it bakes. Takes only 5 minutes to prepare!
Option: add sliced apples & top them with powdered sugar and syrup.

Ingredients
- 4 tbsp butter, sliced
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup milk
- 6 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp vanilla bean
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 2 sliced apples, optional
- powdered sugar, for decoration
Method
- 1)
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
- 2)
Add your butter to a 9×13 inch baking dish and place it in your preheating oven to melt. Take out the pan as soon as the butter melted.

Slice and peel the apples and place them in the baking dish, over the melted butter.
- 4)
In a blender, mix remaining ingredients together eggs, milk, flour, salt, cinnamon and vanilla + the vanilla bean paste.

Pour the egg mixture into the baking dish over the melted butter and apples.

Bake for 25-27 min until golden brown.
- 7)
Serve warm: Top with powdered sugar and syrup.
